Military Madness Nector. The 16 th map stage level of Military Madness.
Nector is the final map in the lower level of Military Madness. After you play Nector, you'll know why so many players quit on this map. Nector is very tough, and requires patience and careful moves to win.
Almost everything in Nector takes place near your south central factory and your home factory. I can only give you a few tips to beat Nector, but since his options are so many, you'll have to play the computer using ZOC and terrain to win. My strategy does not answer all the questions, but it gives you a good starting advantage and helps with the finish – if you keep enough of your fast moving pieces (Rabbit, Lynx, Eagle) to win.
Here is what I can tell you in order to get you started right for a win in Nector. 1) Do NOT take the new south central factory with your Kilroy – use the Panther that is in the SE factory at the beginning of the game. Prioritize getting the Panther to the factory and capturing it. 2) Pull the Kilroy back out (south) from under his Atlas' range. Use it to bait a Hunter for shooting down with your anti-air. 3) Be very cautious about all of his forward Atlas – it's very easy to accidentally put one of your pieces in range – and in this map, his Atlas are very tough! 4) Quickly get your Giant closer to the road and onto 20%, so nothing can hurt it without a lot of help. 5) After turn #3, be sure you can protect your home factory from being captured – at ALL times. He will be trying hard to capture it for the win. Don't worry too much about losing your SE factory, once all your men are removed. It's not all that important that you keep it. 6) Use your Eagle very carefully until his aircraft are all killed.
As always, kill all of his aircraft BEFORE you get serious about his armor. He has Hunters, and if you don't deal with them ASAP, he will tear you apart so badly that you won't be able to win.
After his aircraft and armor are all gone, begin an assault from the east, west and up the middle. You will first have to kill his southernmost Atlas. Stage your pieces so that you can assault his remaining Atlas and home factory all at once. If you still have your Eagle (which is very hard to do) you can immediately start attacking his Atlas.
