This will be the last year that 24 will be televised. This episode of 24 begins at the docks. Renee Walker (Annie Wersching) watches as Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland) is treated. Cole Ortiz (Freddie Prinze Jr.) calls CTU and tells CTU Director Brian Hastings (Mykelti Williamson) that someone saw the rods being loaded into a cab. Hastings tells Chloe O’Brian (Mary Lynn Rajskub) to backup the satellite images and track the cab. She finds the right vehicle and then Arlo Glass (John Boyd) gets it on a drone camera. Dana Walsh (Katee Sackhoff) calls Samir Mehran (Mido Hamada) and Tarin Faroush (T.J. Ramini) and tells them CTU has them on the drone cameras. Dana gives Samir real time intel on where to drive to avoid getting caught. Dana inserts a bug that shuts down coverage for 30 seconds. Coverage returns, but the cab had blended into other cabs and can’t be located.

Hastings calls President Allison Taylor (Cherry Jones) and tells her that Manhattan is now in jeopardy of a nuclear attack. Taylor is told President Omar Hassan (Anil Kapoor) has not yet evacuated and asks to speak with Jack.

Jack and Cole speak – they suspect a traitor in CTU. Taylor asks Jack to come and get Omar and his family out of the UN safely. Renee goes with Jack. When Jack gets to the UN, Omar wants to talk with him. They chat – Jack says they will leave in 10 minutes.

Samir calls Taylor and tells her that she has 1 hour to surrender Omar to him – or he’ll detonate the nuclear device. Her staff argues to give Samir to Omar and save New York. Taylor adamantly opposes the idea.

A general approaches Chief of Staff Rob Weiss (Chris Diamantopoulos) and tells him that they should covertly capture Omar and give him to Samir. Weiss says Taylor won’t go for it – but the general says he only needs Weiss’ help – not Taylor’s permission. The general only needs Omar’s route, which Weiss must get from Secretary of State Ethan Kanin (Bob Gunton).

Tarin drives a van with the bomb in it to where Samir tells him. Tarin parks and waits for Samir to call and tell him to detonate – and kill himself.

Weiss agrees to help the general and goes to Kanin’s office and gets on his computer. Weiss downloads the info to a memory stick, but Kanin walks in and catches him. The general and Weiss forcibly detain Kanin. Kanin puts his hand in his jacket and dials Jack. Kanin has a heart attack. Weiss wants to call an ambulance, the general stops him.

Jack, Renee and Secret Service agents start to escort Omar and his family through underground tunnels – headed to some vehicles that will take them to safety. Jack can’t get Kanin back on the phone and tells Renee that something is wrong – to stay sharp. Everyone moves down the final tunnel to the vehicles and Jack tries Kanin’s phone again. The general’s team is in the tunnel, ready to attack. Weiss takes Jack’s call on Kanin’s phone. Jack insists on talking to Kanin, Weiss says no way and hangs up. Jack stops everyone and tells them to head back to the UN building. The general’s men start shooting. Renee takes Omar and his family back while Jack and the others continue with the firefight. Jack leaves to go take care of Omar. The fight continues. The general’s men kill all the agents and pursue Omar. Jack and Renee dig in. Jack throws smoke grenades while Renee shoots. As the general’s men come out of the smoke, Jack shoots them. When all is said and done, the general’s men are dead, except for one man that Jack wounded. The man tells Jack about giving Omar to Samir – Omar hears.

Samir calls Tarin and tells him to start the countdown. Tarin punches a button on a watch and the timer comes on at 15:00 minutes.

Everyone is dealing with the recent detonation of an EMP device unwittingly delivered by Kayla Hassan (Nazneen Contractor). All systems are down. Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland), traveling with Cole Ortiz (Freddie Prinze Jr.), calls a friend at NSA and asks for tracking assistance on Tarin Faroush (T.J. Ramini). Jack knows where Samir Mehran (Mido Hamada) will have to cross the river with the nuclear rods, and heads there. CTU Director Brian Hastings (Mykelti Williamson) tells Kayla that Tarin betrayed her. Meanwhile, Samir and Tarin have the rods loaded into a small boat.

Jack and Cole, along with 2 other agents, approach the area where Samir and Tarin are. Cole tries to call for support, but his phone is being jammed. Jack realizes the bad guys are near and quickly starts backing up the SUV. The bad guys start shooting. Jack slides between 2 steel containers and he and Cole jump out shooting while the other 2 agents unload weapons. They’re pinned down by fire. Samir leaves to take the boat across the river with the rods.

As Arlo Glass (John Boyd) gives Hastings a horrible damage report, an NSA engineer and crew arrive. They’re supposed to fix the computers – starting with surveillance and com. Chloe O’Brian (Mary Lynn Rajskub) tells Dana Walsh (Katee Sackhoff) she may know a workaround that will get the systems back online quickly – and she works on that. Chloe tells Hastings they need to find Jack. Hastings tells her to let it go and report to the engineer from NSA. Chloe tells him her plan – he insults her and tells her to leave.

Chloe calls Renee Walker (Annie Wersching), who is at Jack’s apartment. Renee gets her gun and goes out to look for Jack. Renee tells Chloe to do whatever she has to in order to get the servers back up.

Dana tells Bill Prady (Stephen Root) that the surveillance files he wanted have been erased by the EMP. Prady appears to leave CTU.

Chloe goes back to the server room where the engineers are working. Chloe pulls a pistol and tells everyone to leave the room. They leave and Chloe closes the security door.

Jack and his group make it out of their pinned down location, but two agents are shot.

Hastings and his men break into the server room and stop Chloe. Chloe pleads with Hastings to let her finish – she only needs 10 minutes. Dana tells Hastings Chloe’s idea can’t work. Hastings agrees to let Chloe try. Hastings is told Prady is waiting to talk with him – Dana hears this. Hastings tells Prady to wait 15 minutes in holding. Chloe’s plan works and CTU has com and one satellite.

Jack tells Cole he’s going to run out and draw fire while Cole runs to the call box and uses the phone to call CTU. Jack is shot in the vest 3 times and falls unconscious. The sniper gets his head in his scope – but Renee shows up and kills him from behind. Renee runs to Jack, Cole places a call – choppers are on the way.

Dana goes to the room where Prady is – and kills him. She hides the body behind a wall panel. Dana then calls Samir and tells him CTU is back online. Samir says the police are closing in on him and the rods. Dana tells him she’ll help him escape and goes back to work.

This is a detailed synopsis, as well as a commentary and review of the TV series 24: Season 8 – Episode 12, which occurs in the time frame of 3:00 AM to 4:00 AM. This episode of 24 was directed by Nelson McCormick. For a complete list of all the stars and directors from all 195 episodes of 24, please click here.

This will be the last year that 24 will be televised. This episode of 24 begins with CTU Director Brian Hastings (Mykelti Williamson) briefing his staff at CTU. The IRK is going to be detonating a dirty bomb somewhere in New York – soon. Tarin Faroush (T.J. Ramini) is their only lead. Tarin stands at the bathroom door listening to Kayla Hassan (Nazneen Contractor), who is trying to get out through the window, but can’t make it. Samir Mehran (Mido Hamada) calls Tarin and tells him he may be compromised. Samir tells Tarin to get out now and bring Kayla to the next phase.

Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland) and Cole Ortiz (Freddie Prinze Jr.) are driving to the hotel. Jack talks to the NYPD and tells them to stay back until he arrives. They don’t wait – and Tarin sees them from the hotel window. Tarin breaks down the bathroom door and drags Kayla out and into the hall, where they are visible on security cameras. NYPD goes into the hotel and starts searching for Tarin – despite Jack ordering to stand down. Tarin kills 3 cops and uses one of their radios to fake a call – misleading the cops where he is. Jack figures out Tarin is making the call and tells everyone. Once outside, Tarin and Kayla are picked up by a cab driven by one of Samir’s men. Arlo Glass (John Boyd) has a drone camera showing everything. The cab goes into a tunnel. Jack and Cole get there only to find an empty cab. Jack and Cole head for the UN to see President Omar Hassan (Anil Kapoor).

Bill Prady (Stephen Root) arrives at CTU and Dana Walsh (Katee Sackhoff) goes to talk with him. Dana tells Prady that she met Kevin a few nights ago, they had sex. She said she doesn’t want her fiancé, Cole, to find out. Prady senses she’s lying and presses her.

Jack asks Omar if he knows why Tarin kidnapped Kayla – what does he want to leverage. Omar doesn’t know. Jack has trace equipment setup on Omar phones.

Tarin drags Kayla into a room with a large IRK flag and sits her down, bound, in front of the flag. Samir enters the room. Samir calls Omar on Dalia’s phone. He tells Omar he wants file 33. Samir gives Omar an IP address and Jack brings it up on computer. It’s Kayla in the chair. Samir walks behind Kayla and puts a plastic bag over her head. Tarin watches, wincing. Samir gives Omar 15 minutes to get him the file. Omar says he’ll get the file. Hastings calls Jack and is put on speaker. Omar brings up the file on his laptop – it’s detailed documents on all US anti-nuclear defenses – including nuclear detection capabilities. Arlo has been able to get a partial track on where Tarin went with Kayla. Jack, Cole and the teams head there.

Tarin takes Kayla to a different room. She talks to him. Tarin leaves the room, and where Kayla can see and hear, he argues with Samir.

Prady tells Dana that his NYPD contact told him the cameras at the warehouse were shutdown during Kevin’s robbery. He knows that CTU records those feeds and tells Dana he wants the footage – and he has the paperwork.

Omar’s time is up and Tarin collects Kayla, who pleads with him about their love… Tarin looks around and then tells Kayla to run – they head out of the building. They make it outside and run to a car – Tarin is yelling that they MUST get to CTU – Omar is surrounded by traitors. He hands Kayla a phone and tells her to speed dial CTU. Kayla gets in, then Tarin – but a bad guy runs up to Tarin’s window and Tarin gets out to fight him. Another man appears and shoots Tarin – Kayla drives away with the man shooting.

Hastings gets a call from Kayla. Jack is on too. Chloe figures out where Kayla was held. Jack and Cole head there while Dana tells Kayla directions to CTU. Jack and Cole get to where Kayla was held – but everyone is gone. Jack finds tunnel entrances. Arlo sends the drone to watch all possible exits. He sees Samir and 3 men leaving the tunnel. One of the men is identified as Tarin. Chloe tells Jack. Jack tells Hastings to keep Kayla away from CTU – there must be a bomb inside her car intended to shut down CTU’s nuclear detection systems so the nuclear rods can be moved. Kayla pulls into the CTU tunnel. Hastings and security rush out. Kayla pulls up to the underground entrance to CTU and is pulled from the car – the bomb squad is called. The bomb’s timer is seen – 10 seconds. Everyone runs. The bomb, an EMP device explodes, shutting down all power within its blast radius. CTU is totally down – Jack contacts the NSA.

This will be the last year that 24 will be televised. This episode of 24 begins inside the hyperbaric chamber where Marcos Al-Zacar (Rami Malek) is attempting to rewire his suicide vest so he can detonate it. Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland) reviews specs of the chamber to determine if he can break into it. Marcos disabled the intercom into the chamber so Jack couldn’t talk to him, but Jack tells his people to get it working. CTU Director Brian Hastings (Mykelti Williamson) calls Jack for an update. Chloe O’Brian (Mary Lynn Rajskub) gives Jack background on Marcos. Arlo Glass (John Boyd) tells Jack that Marco’s mother, Elaine Al-Zacar (Mare Winningham), is living nearby. Jack tells Hastings to have her brought to the hospital. Hastings tells his staff to ensure that all radiation sensors are up and running and frequently checked.

Cole Ortiz (Freddie Prinze Jr.) and Dana Walsh (Katee Sackhoff) arrive back at CTU and argue in the elevator. Hastings meets them as they exit the elevator and tells them they screwed up, and gives them both assignments.

Samir Mehran (Mido Hamada) gets a call – his men are now watching Marcos and CTU through a window and they are also hooked into the hospital security cameras. Samir tells his men that CTU’s radiation detectors will soon be down and the nuclear rods will be moved into position.

The intercom into the chamber is repaired and Jack starts a dialog with Marcos. Jack doesn’t make much headway.

Tarin Faroush (T.J. Ramini) is in bed with Kayla Hassan (Nazneen Contractor) at the hotel. He tells her he just got a call from his lawyer friend who assures him that they both will be granted “political refugee” status. Dalia Hassan (Necar Zadegan) calls Kayla, But Tarin takes her phone away and tells her not to talk to Dalia until the lawyer has filed the applications. Dalia meets up with President Omar Hassan (Anil Kapoor) at the UN.

Dana gets a call from Kevin’s parole officer, Bill Prady (Stephen Root). Prady is heading to CTU to talk to Dana about Kevin – since his phone records indicate he called her several times. Dana calls Cole and tells him about Prady. Cole tells her to lie her way out of it.

Elaine arrives at the hospital and Jack fills her in about her son, Marcos. He takes her to talk to Marcos, who is now very close to having the bomb ready to explode. Samir’s men notify Samir about Elaine arriving. Chloe detects someone is monitoring the hospital security cameras besides CTU. Chloe tries to trace it, but can’t. She calls and tells Jack, who tells his men to cut the feed. Elaine fails to change Marcos’ mind. Cole pulls her from the room and Jack enters. Marcos makes the final wiring change to activate the detonator. Samir’s men lose their feed, but can still see some things through the window. Jack tells him that if he blows the bomb, his mother will die: Jack will take her to where the dirty bomb is detonated and intentionally expose her to the radiation. Marcos puts the detonator down and opens the door. The vest is armed – Jack calls for bomb techs. Jack starts disarming, but then the timer starts running at 60 seconds – Samir’s men activated it. Marcos tells Jack that Tarin is one of the men in charge of the operation. Jack throws Marcos back into the chamber and pushes the door partially closed as the bomb explodes and knocks Jack back 10′.

Jack calls Omar. Jack tells Omar that Tarin is a bad guy. Omar tells Jack Tarin is somewhere with his daughter Kayla. Tarin takes a shower at the hotel. Kayla answers her mother’s call. Dalia tells Kayla Tarin is bad. Kayla tells Dalia where she is. Tarin catches her on the phone and tells her to get dressed – to go see the lawyer. Tarin is suspicious. Jack and the teams head to the hotel.

President Allison Taylor (Cherry Jones) convinces Omar to give CTU access to his undercover operative files so Samir Mehran’s (Mido Hamada) group can be caught before the use the nuclear rods. Tarin escapes and calls Kayla – they’ll meet at the hotel in 10 minutes.

Seconds before Jack gets to Farhad’s location, Farhad gets scared and tries to run – he’s shot down by Samir’s men. Jack finds Farhad right away, but he’s wounded. Jack tells Chloe O’Brian (Mary Lynn Rajskub) to send the photos of undercover personnel to his computer immediately. Samir’s man calls and tells Samir that Farhad is dead.

She’ll meet him later at his apartment. Hastings calls Jack and tells him Chloe picked up on Marcos. Chloe sees Marcos is wearing a vest and has a detonator. Jack tells her to find the disarm codes for that specific detonator, but she can’t ID it. Using the bomb, Marcos forces a CTU agent to walk him to Farhad’s room. Everyone is watching all this happen on cameras. Chloe finds the detonator type and prepares to disarm it. Marcos enters Farhad’s room and walks to the bed. Arlo Glass (John Boyd) disarms the detonator. Marcos pushes the button and nothing happens. Jack rushes the room. Marcos dives through the window to kill himself, but he only gets hurt and runs back into the hospital at ground level. Jack follows. Marcos gets inside a large pressure chamber and locks the door. Jack calls for help to get in. Marcos calls Samir and tells him that it was a trap – Farhad was already dead. Samir tells him he must manually detonate the vest so he is not taken alive. This will be the last year that 24 will be televised. This episode of 24 begins with a shot of Josef Bazhaev (David Anders) pulling his van, loaded with the nuclear rods, into a warehouse parking area. Then we see Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland) making arrangements with Chloe O’Brian (Mary Lynn Rajskub) to triangulate a phone’s location. Jack is going to have Sergei Bazhaev (Jürgen Prochnow) call his son Josef, and Chloe will locate him. Jack tries to get Josef to surrender with the rods, telling him his father negotiated immunity. Just as Josef agrees to surrender and bring the rods in, Farhad Hassan (Akbar Kurtha) has a sniper shoot him. Jack hears the gunshot. Chloe tells Jack Josef’s general area. CTU Director Brian Hastings (Mykelti Williamson) tells Jack to bring Sergei to CTU. Josef’s phone was not hung up, and everyone hears Farhad tell his men the rods need to go to the port.

Jack calls Renee Walker (Annie Wersching) at CTU. They’ve decided to ‘get together.’

Chief of Staff Rob Weiss (Chris Diamantopoulos) calls Hastings and tells him somebody will have to take the fall for losing the rods – and the other screw ups of the day. Weiss wants it to be Renee. Weiss is sending some over from DOJ to deal with Renee.

Arlo Glass (John Boyd) calls Cole Ortiz (Freddie Prinze Jr.) and tells him that he found Dana Walsh (Katee Sackhoff). Cole sends his team back to CTU and he heads for Dana’s GPS location. Dana has followed Kevin Wade (Clayne Crawford) and his friend Nick and the two girls they picked up at the strip club to a deserted area of a park. She draws the pistol from her purse and attaches a silencer and sits and watches the van.

Hastings tells Arlo to find Dana now! Kristen Smith arrives from the DOJ to question Renee. Smith tells Hastings to shut down video surveillance access to the room she’ll be using. Chloe lets Hastings know that she doesn’t like Renee being questioned by the DOJ.

Farhad’s man, Samir Mehran (Mido Hamada) tells him that they cannot yet move the rods near the harbor because the nuclear detectors will spot them. They pull into a warehouse in the van loaded with the rods. Farhad asks who all the men are – Samir says they are ones that he recruited. One of Samir’s men tells Farhad that they can’t get the rods out of the country, so they’re going to use them as a weapon to show the Americans how strong they are. Farhad is NOT happy about the plan. Farhad feigns compliance and agreement.

Smith is pressing Renee hard when Jack returns to CTU and realizes they’re setting Renee up to take the fall. He storms into the room and grabs Smith by the throat and slams her to the wall. Jack takes Renee and leaves the room – guards taser him.

Farhad watches as the rods are off loaded. He tells Samir’s man that he knows someone in town who can make the detonator they need – but he must see him alone. A man is assigned to drive Farhad to the man’s home. As they walk out, Farhad attacks his driver – but another man sees. Farhad’s leg is hurt and he limps quickly away as the chase begins. Farhad calls CTU while Jack is chastising Hastings for what he’s doing to Renee. Hastings puts the call on speaker. Farhad tells Hastings Samir will attack New York with the rods – soon! Hastings tells Chloe to get Cole, Chloe tells him she doesn’t know where Cole is. Hastings has Jack escorted out of the building.

Dana sees the two girls storm off from Kevin’s van in the park, grabs her silenced pistol and gets out of her car. As she’s walking to the van, Cole pulls up. They argue. Dana gets into Cole’s SUV to explain what’s going on.

Jack tells Hastings he’ll go after Farhad if Hastings will drop the Renee investigation. Hastings agrees.

Cole is upset by what Dana tells him, but takes her pistol and gets out of the SUV and heads for the van. Dana joins him – trying to stop him. Holding them at gunpoint, Cole tells Kevin and Nick to leave the state – or he’ll kill them. Kevin agrees – Nick looks suspicious. Cole and Dana walk away and Nick gets a pistol and knife from under the seat to go after Cole. Kevin tries to stop him. Nick stabs Kevin. Nick gets out of the van and starts sneaking up behind Cole and Dana – with his last breath, Kevin yells out a warning. Nick shoots and Cole kills him.

This will be the last year that 24 will be televised. This episode of 24 begins at CTU where Dana Walsh (Katee Sackhoff) calls Kevin Wade (Clayne Crawford), who is at a strip club with his friend Nick. Dana tells Kevin to put her house key in her mailbox and get out of her life – like he promised. He says that’s not going to happen. Kevin wants to pull more jobs like the one they just did. Nick grabs the phone, threatens Dana and hangs up. Arlo Glass (John Boyd) catches Dana making the phone call and questions her – he’s suspicious because she keeps leaving the floor during an emergency. He tells her that he saw her in the parking lot with Kevin, and accuses her of cheating on Cole Ortiz (Freddie Prinze Jr.) – her fiancé.

Cole figures out that Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland) was snuck away through the sewer drains, but they can’t follow him. CTU Director Brian Hastings (Mykelti Williamson) asks Cole if Renee Walker (Annie Wersching) saw the Russians who took jack. Cole says no – she’s pretty messed up. Hastings says Renee messed up the operation and he wants her back at CTU now. Chloe O’Brian (Mary Lynn Rajskub) covers for Dana.

Jack arrives at the restaurant/hideout of Sergei Bazhaev (Jürgen Prochnow). Sergei wants to know how Jack knows about the nuclear rods. Jack is taken to the cellar and put into a chair. Sergei asks him how he knows about the rods. Jack says his people intercepted a com from Farhad Hassan (Akbar Kurtha). Sergei wants to know who jack works for – but he won’t say. Jack offers Sergei $250 million – which gets his attention, but he still wants to know who Jack works for, who his buyers are. Sergei tells his men to torture Jack until he tells them. Josef Bazhaev (David Anders) tells Sergei that he buried his brother, who Sergei shot to death – these two are not getting along well since then. Sergei takes Josef with him to tell Farhad Hassan (Akbar Kurtha) that the rod delivery has been postponed. Sergei tells Farhad he’s postponed the shipment and they argue. Sergei tells him to leave – to go join his own men and wait for the rods.

Renee gets to CTU and wants to go help find Jack, but Hastings orders Chloe O’Brian (Mary Lynn Rajskub) to debrief her and then she must have a psyche evaluation. Dana asks Cole if she can speak to him privately. With tears in her eyes, Dana tells Cole thjere are things about her past she hasn’t’ told him. Cole says that as long as they are still getting married, they can work it all out. (Yeah, right!) Hastings interrupts Cole.

Jack, hanging from pipes by ropes, manages to electrocute/stun his interrogator and break the pipe free from the ceiling. He kills the interrogator and takes his gun, etc.

Kayla Hassan (Nazneen Contractor) meets with her father, President Omar Hassan (Anil Kapoor) about having Tarin Faroush (T.J. Ramini) arrested. Kayla tells Omar that she and Tarin have been lovers for a year. Omar is now really upset and forbids her to ever see Tarin again.

Jack can’t get the guard’s cell to work and leaves the room he was in. Jack shuts the power off and when someone comes to check the fuse boxes, he kills them, gets a working cell phone and calls Chloe. He tells her to trace the call and send a tac team ASAP. Then Jack gets involved in lots of shooting with the Russians. Ultimately, Jack knocks out Sergie, collapses and waits for the troops to arrive.

Hastings asks where Dana is and Arlo tells him she signed out to go fix a faulty relay, but he says it sarcastically.

Sergei is taken into CTU custody and Jack’s wounds are attended to. Jack gets Sergei’s file and then goes to talk privately with him. Jack offers him a deal – if he will tell Jack where the rods are. Sergei wants full immunity for himself and his son. Jack says he’ll look into it and calls Hastings – and gets he and President Allison Taylor (Cherry Jones) on the line. Taylor tells Sergei that he can have his deal.

Cole asks Arlo why he was sarcastic about Dana. Arlo shows him the drone footage of Kevin kissing Dana in the parking lot earlier. Hastings tells Cole to run the teams for the rod recovery NOW. Cole tells Arlo to trace Dana’s cell phone – quietly. Cole calls Dana, who is at the strip club where Kevin and Nick are – but they don’t know she’s there. Dana doesn’t answer her phone, but we see a pistol in her purse.

Sergie relayed the location of the rods and Cole is closing in by chopper, supported by hazmat, NEST and others. The truck is in a parking area at a weight station. Cole sets down, and reports there are no hostiles present guarding the truck. They open the truck – the guards bodies are inside – but no rods. Radiation readings confirm the rods had been there. Cole finds a cross necklace hanging on the door – the one Josef was wearing when Sergei shot him – the one Sergei gave to Oleg.

Hastings calls Jack and tells him the rods aren’t there. Jack asks a shocked Sergei where they are. When Hastings mentions the cross, Sergei realizes Josef stole the rods. Meanwhile, Josef calls Farhad and tells him he has the rods and is ready to deliver them to him. He says he’ll be there with the rods in less than 5 minutes – to have his money ready.

He and his partner are at the evidence warehouse and ready for help stealing the $120,000 from evidence. Dana tells Kevin to hold on, she’s busy right now. Chloe O’Brian (Mary Lynn Rajskub) tells Dana to report to CTU Director Brian Hastings’ (Mykelti Williamson) office for a meeting.

Jack arrives at Vladimir’s and walks in with his hostage at gunpoint. Vladimir apologizes for trying to kill jack and Renee Walker (Annie Wersching) tells Jack that Vladimir has already started calling contacts to find out about the nuclear rods. Jack insists on talking to Renee alone. Jack wants Renee to back out now – She won’t.

Dana goes to a secure room and walks Kevin and his partner through breaking into the warehouse and stealing the money. After they find the money, Dana tells him to leave, the next patrol will be there in 15 minutes or less. Kevin’s partner wants to stay and steal more things. They stay.

Vladimir finally makes a call to Sergei Bazhaev (Jürgen Prochnow). Sergei says he knows nothing of nuclear rods and tells Vladimir not to call him again. Renee tells him to keep calling people. Vladimir gets frisky with Renee. Sergei calls a man who is in the back of a truck with the nuclear rods and tells him he knows where to go. The truck pulls off the road.

Omat tells his security chief, Tarin Faroush (T.J. Ramini), to take hard action against some suspected traitors, but Tarin won’t because he says they’re not fair. Omar has his second in command take the actions. He also tells the man to check into Tarin’s records – he might be a suspect also.

Kevin and his friend, Nick, they have to go – but a patrolman arrives before they can leave the warehouse. Kevin calls Dana who again helps him using the security cameras at the warehouse. The cop calls in the mess he sees and Nick comes up behind him and hits him with a baseball bat and starts beating him. They leave the warehouse, with the cop on the floor bleeding.

Tarin goes to the room of Kayla Hassan (Nazneen Contractor). They are secret lovers. Tarin tells her Omar is being too hard line on possible assassination plot accomplices. Security gets to Kayla’s room and asks if she’s seen Tarin – she says no – the man doesn’t believe her. Tarin opens the door and comes out. Tarin is detained. Kayla yells that she’ll talk to her father and get him free.

Vladimir tells Renee he’s done calling – nobody knows. Renee pushes him to make more calls – Vladimir tells her to shut up. Vladimir punches Renee and she falls to the ground and picks up a knife – then she stabs him in the face. Jack hears the scream and runs into the room to see Renee repeatedly stabbing him in the stomach. Jack pulls her off and she turns and stabs jack in the stomach. Jack falls, a guard enters and Jack throws a knife and kills him. Jack grabs a gun and kills the other two guards – and then hugs Renee and tells her it’s okay. Jack tells all to Hastings and Cole is dispatched to the scene to collect evidence, including Vladimir’s body for an autopsy.

Jack hears people in the garage area and thinks it’s Cole and his men. He leaves Renee and sees Russian bad guys – Sergei’s men. He goes back to Renee and tells her that one of the people Vladimir called must have the rods, and they’re here now to plug the leaks. Jack hides Renee in the small water heater room and tells her he’ll give himself up. Renee should have CTU track him from the air and that will lead them to who has the nuclear rods. Reluctantly, Renee agrees. Jack surrenders and is taken.

Cole arrives at the garage and Renee turns herself over to him. Renee tells Cole the Russians who have the rods took Jack. But Cole says nobody was seen leaving the building. Meanwhile, Jack is being led through large sewer lines – out of sight of the drones and CTU teams. He is then put into a van, blindfolded, and driven away.

Dana asks Arlo Glass (John Boyd) to cover for her.
