She wants info on Belkin.
Ted Cofell (Currie Graham) gets a call from someone to meet him at a garage. Cofell intercoms his limo driver with the location of the meeting, and realizes that his driver has been replaced. Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland) stops the limo in a remote industrial area and gets into the back with Cofell. Jack questions him – aggressively. Cofell won’t cooperate. Jack searches his things while he gets an update from Nina, and asks her for a profile on Cofell.
CTU discovers that the real Belkin was killed in the plane explosion, and the assassin took his place.
Jack gets Cofell’s profile from Nina and begins a serious interrogation.
Andre Drazen (Zeljko Ivanek) arrives at the compound and meets with Ira Gaines (Michael Massee). Andre tells Gaines he’s pulling the plug on his part of the operation, since he’s failed, but that Jack and Palmer will be dead by day’s end.
Jack gets nowhere with Cofell, and heads to the meeting Cofell had just setup with Kevin Carroll. Cofell takes a knife from a concealed location and holds it.
Palmer gets into with Sherry about Webb and Maureen. Chief of Staff Mike Novick (Jude Ciccolella) gives Palmer background on Jack – and Palmer recalls where he knows him from, but can’t talk about it right then.
Jack and Cofell arrive at the meeting location – in a deserted underground parking garage. Jack gets into the back seat and Cofell attacks with the knife – Jack disarms and wounds Cofell – who then starts speaking in Serbian. (uh-oh) Jack gets rough and Cofell’s heart gives out – but it’s a great scene. Cofell dies. Jack tells Nina to look into his records from 2 years earlier in Belgrade – Operation Nightfall.
Rick, the guy whose been helping Kim all along, brings her a pistol. Teri takes it.
A car pulls up behind the limo is in and a man gets out and starts walking to the limo. The man steps into the car. The man, whose name is Kevin Carroll, is the man we knew as Alan York (Richard Burgi). [I'll continue calling him "York," for clarity.] York gets into the open back door of the limo and then Jack greets him “Hello Alan.” York tries to shoot Jack, but the divider is bullet proof. Jack starts hot rodding through the parking garage – knocking York and Cofell’s body violently about in the back seat. He finally slams on the brakes and knock York out. Jack binds York and puts him back into his car, and starts beating on him to find out where Kim and Teri are. Jack agrees to let York go free, once his family is safe. They leave for the compound.
Andre tells Gaines his time is up – to kill Teri and Kim. Gaines tells Eli to kill the women. Palmer meets with Webb. Palmer says he doesn’t want Keith Palmer’s (Vicellous Reon Shannon) therapist killed. The conversation is revealing and hostile. Palmer tries to call the therapist to warn him.
Eli comes to kill the women, Teri tries to shoot him but the gun doesn’t fire. A struggle ensues. Teri gets Eli’s gun and shoots him – twice. They hide the body.
