January 23rd, 2010 by | Print

This year Lady Gaga has sky rocketed to the top of mainstream pop culture. She is currently sitting on five Grammy nominations and 2 People’s Choice Award Nominations. She is one of Barbara Walters Most Fascinating People, and don’t forget that Rolling Stone crowned her the Most Defining Pop Star of 2009. There is no argument that Lady Gaga is experiencing huge international success.

If you haven’t seen Lady Gaga be interviewed, then you are missing out. As it turns out, the freakishly costumed Lady Gaga is down to earth and surprisingly well spoken. Gaga has given interviews on some very popular talk shows out in Hollywood over the past three months. Lady Gaga has been interviewed by the likes of Ellen DeGeneres and Jay Leno.

One of the best interviews I saw Lady Gaga do this year was with Ellen DeGeneres, host of The Ellen DeGeneres Show. Even Ellen proclaimed to her audience that there has not been anyone the likes of Lady Gaga since David Bowie. The two of them talked like best friends, sharing latex fashion tips as well as mutual admiration for one another. Lady Gaga also sang her number one hit Bad Romance LIVE on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. When Barbara Walter’s put Lady Gaga on her Most Fascinating People of 2009 show, it gave primetime viewers nationwide a chance to see Lady Gaga for the very first time. Lady Gaga took her shocking latex and lace wardrobe down a notch, showing Barbara Walters the proper respect. And boy was Barbara surprised by the nice catholic girl from Manhattan, confessing at the end of her interview, “You’re not at all what I expected, you’re much more.” Barbara even got Lady Gaga to confess to her rumored liberal sexual preferences. Another Lady Gaga interview not to be missed is with The Tonight Show host, Jay Leno. One of the funniest moments during the interview was when Jay Leno asked Lady Gaga “What is the worst rumor you have ever heard about yourself?” Lady Gaga waited, then in a thick New Yorker accent she said, “That I’m from Yonkers!” Jay screamed back “That’s a horrible thing to say about someone.” Lady G responded, “I mean I love the Bronx, but I’m just not from Yonkers. Lady Gaga has a great sense of humor and Jay Leno was a terrific host playing off her one-liners.
